World News-Sino-US trade war

According to the instructions of President Xi Jinping and President Trump, the Chinese delegation led by Chairman Xi Jinping’s special envoy and vice-premier Liu He from May 17-18, 2018, and the U.S. Treasury Secretary Mukuchin and Commerce Minister Ross and Trade Representatives of the U.S. delegation on behalf of Litethze and other members made constructive consultations on trade issues.

On the 19th, China and the United States issued a joint statement on bilateral economic and trade consultations in Washington.

Chairman of the delegation, Xi Jinping, who is on a visit to the United States, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, a vice  premier of the State Council, and the Chinese leader of the China-America Comprehensive Economic Dialogue, Liu He, received media interviews on the morning of the 19th. He said that the biggest achievement of the Sino-U.S. economic and trade consultations was that the two sides reached a consensus, did not fight a trade war, and stopped levying tariffs on each other.
