Analysis of corrosion resistance of steel pipe

With the same condition of alloy composition for a steel pipe, the good quality or bad quality of steel pipe, to some extent, would depend on the corrosion resistance. Today, as supplier of seamless steel pipe, ERW steel pipe, Xinyue Steel would have an analysis for steel pipe.

First, same chemical composition, same heat treatment, with same standard of steel pipe, the corrosion resistance would be consistent.

Second, tests shows that the steel pipe welding has the equal or better corrosion resistant compared to the metal to be welded.

In addition, in acid circumstance, incomplete heat treatment accelerates corrosion at the weld, but this only requires a corrosion test.

Final, for bending and tensile test. We know that they are important for bending and tensile in engineering project. Weld seam extension can be verified by the following tests: ASTM 45 degree bending followed by 90 degree and then flattening along the weld seam.
